Thomas Jeffrey “Tom” Hanks is an American actor and filmmaker. He is best known for his roles in Big, Forrest Gump, Saving Mr. Banks, and Saving Private Ryan. His academy award for best actor was in a role for the film Philadelphia. He directed the miniseries Band of Brothers. He produced the HBO miniseries The Pacific. He is one of the highest grossing actors in film history as of 2014.
