Mike Nichols was a German-born American television, stage and film director, writer, producer, and comedian. He won an Academy Award for Best Director for the movie The Graduate in 1968. He directed other films which are: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Catch-22, Carnal Knowledge, Silkwood, Working Girl, The Bird Cage, and Charlie Wilson’s War. Charlie Wilson’s War was his final film. He also directed the HBO mini-series Angels in America. He died of cardiac arrest on November 19, 2014. He was 83 years old. R.I.P. Mike Nichols.
