I still listen to country music and they are beautiful songs. What I listen to the most is pop, hip-hop, R&B, and Rock music. My favorites are pop, rock, and hip-hop. I still love the country music too. When I go to sleep I put on smooth jazz. I love music that makes me happy. Right now I am discovering new hip-hop, pop, and rock artists. There are so many of them. They will continue to add more singers nonstop. I am happy that you all are enjoying my posts. It brings me pleasure to make my fans happy with my writing. Love and peace to you all! Behave! 🙂 ❤
Since I’ve used streaming music services, I literally would not have to hear a song twice ever again! (But I’m not so sure that is a good thing…) 😉
It’s different for anyone who likes music. I like to listen to songs I like repeatedly. 😊
Some country songs — at least the classic country songs from the 40s to the early 80s — broke through the usual limits of pop music and achieved the level of poetry. One of my favorites was George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today.” Read the entire song online, but check out this snippet:
He said “I’ll love you till I die”
She told him “you’ll forget in time”
As the years went slowly by
She still preyed upon his mind
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they’ll carry him away
He stopped loving her today
I still get a little misty-eyed when I hear George Jones performing that song. Now that’s art.
Interesting story. Thanks for sharing.
