I was just pondering this statement the past 2 weeks. I was wondering… if what I am going to say is considered not nice to the person, do I refrain from saying it…even if it is the truth and I am saying it with the hope that the person will see the pain being caused and will correct the inappropriate behavior? Or do you not be open and honest about it because the words will appear “not nice” in the other person’s eyes? Thoughts?

I’ve seen an extension of that idea. We have 2 ears, 2 eyes, but only one mouth — one might wonder why.
