Elaine Stritch was an American actress, and singer. She was best known for her work on Broadway. She appeared in numerous stage plays, musicals, feature films, and television programs. She was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1955. Her Broadway debut was in the comedy Loco (1946). In 1993 she won an Emmy Award as a guest role in the show Law & Order.
