In a young age he was infatuated with works of Friedrich Nietzsche, Arthur Rimbaud, and Jack Kerouac, which often incorporated their works into his lyrics. He is also ranked no.47 on the Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”. He is one of the most iconic, and influential frontmen in rock music history. He is alleged to have died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27 in Paris, France. No autopsy was performed, which his cause of death is still undisputed.
